Mind & Mood

Day after day, it is being established that mental and physical health are strongly correlated. Remember when you were in a good mood…you probably thought positively of yourself and believed more in your capabilities to build beneficial health behaviors.

However, depression, anxiety and other mental health conditions can detriment your sleep, energy, quality of your relations, physical health and others…

Knowing that, let us be proactive and look at various ways to keep your mind and mood in optimal health.

1. Spend quality time with supportive friends and family. Opening up about our feelings can help us see things more clearly and put them into perspective.

2. Start Journaling. If you feel uncomfortable talking to anyone about personal issues,  you can write down your thoughts, with acceptance, on a piece of paper and then try to find solutions by asking yourself curious questions like “what can I do here”, “how can I solve this issue”,  “how can I prevent this negative incident from happening again”….

3- Get a self-help book. Reading a book can be as inspiring as talking to a well-educated expert. A visit to the library or an online website books might be more relieving than you can imagine.

4- Simplify your life. Try to not add more stress to your life by choosing to achieve one thing at a time. For example, if you must do a big project, break it down into smaller tasks with realistic deadlines. Many times, we need a step back to jump further!

5- Get out of the house. Daylight and fresh air are relieving and a short round of mild to moderate physical activity would highly boost the positive results of the outing.

6. Get as much sleep as you can. Being sleep deprived puts us in a negative mood, exposes us to eat more and feel worse… Try sleeping earlier by setting a fixed night time where you disconnect from all work, media, stresses of life and just breathe and relax.

7- Try meditation. Join a yoga class. Many studies prove the meditation breathing techniques to be healing!

Even if we applied all these advices, sometimes life gets tough, we totally understand that. As soon as you notice a repetitive negative mood, try to take action as it might very well prevent you from going into a cycle of depression or anxiety and make healing smoother.

Do ask for help of an expert if you found yourself overwhelmed! You are not alone and there are people out there whom their priority mission is to give support to people who need it!

Diabetes Program

I have been living with type 2 diabetes for 5 years now. I used to struggle to maintain my blood sugar levels under control. Droobi has truly changed my life! My blood sugars are at target now, I lost some weight and changed my eating habits. I am so happy with the daily support I receive from my health coach. They are always super-supportive and positive even in my worse days. I really don't know what would I do without my personal coach. Thank you Droobi for helping me live better with diabetes.

Gestational Diabetes Program

On my 3rd pregnancy, I was informed after doing a test that I had gestational diabetes. I was really shocked because I was healthy in my previous pregnancies. When my doctor recommended Droobi, I thought I will give it a try. My health coach was super reactive and very helpful. She supported me in tracking my blood sugars and make the right food choices every single day. The program helped me overcome my fear and have a healthy delivery and baby. I am still using it even after giving birth.

Prevention program

I have heard about Droobi online and I decided to give its Prevention Program a try, given that diabetes runs in my family. It’s a very easy program, small steps made me lose weight, exercise more, and reduce the risk of getting chronic disease. Great simple app that offers the support, through reminders, tracking tools, lessons and professional coaches. I’ve been using it over a year and I would recommend it to anyone.
